Laval

Laval

The third largest city in Quebec, Laval offers a concentration of of amazing activities where it is easy to combine entertainment, culture and nature. It’s a bustling tourist destination that has more than 800 restaurants, over 1300 hotel rooms, several concert halls and venues, a great variety of boutiques and banner stores much to the pleasure of shopping buffs, and thousands of other activities to do.

Contrary to what people may think, nature is quite present on the Laval territory. The environment is charming, thanks to its farms, its vineyard, many parks and green spaces, including the Parc-de-la-Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, the largest protected wildlife sanctuary in the Greater Montreal region, and the Centre de la nature, one of the most remarkable urban parks in the region that covers over 50 hectares.

Laval is a city on the move with a vast road system and commuting train network, and three metro stations. The cycling path network which stretches over 300 kilometres is constantly expanding. Those who want to discover the city without driving can borrow electric or regular BIXI bikes or take advantage of the free service of the 360 shuttle of the STL (Laval’s Public Transit Company) which route includes stops at various hotels and tourist attractions in the downtown area.
